Our Firm's Commitment in These Challenging Times
COVID-19 and the ensuing public health emergency are impacting nearly every aspect of our clients’ lives and all Americans. Our first concern at Komie and Associates is for the safety and the health of our clients and our employees. This is a top priority. Currently, we are experiencing an unprecedented obstacle to deliver in-court legal services for our clients. COVID-19 is impacting every aspect of the delivery of justice in our courthouses with the current partial shut down of courthouses.
We are constantly monitoring the impact on the availability of the courts to meet our client’s legal needs consistent with the guidelines set forth by the CDC and the nature of the client’s emergent legal problem. The courts are open for bail hearings, emergency orders of protection, real emergencies, and the filing of new cases. Thus, we continue to operate to serve the immediate needs of clients.
We have assisted our clients in obtaining new court dates in the coming months for their appearances and hearings. Although we anticipate there will be no trials until the summer months, we stand by to conduct immediate hearings for bail after arrest, obtain orders of protection, and assist families in their legal emergencies, whether it be an emergency order of protection, death of a loved one or a bail hearing.
We are currently maintaining our normal business hours to assist clients whose legal matters cannot wait or be postponed. PLEASE NOTE, DEADLINES SET BY LAW HAVE NOT BEEN EXTENDED AND REQUIRE ACTION BEFORE THEY EXPIRE. Please call us if you have any issues or concerns. We are here to help you.
May God hold you in the palm of his hand until we see you again.
